Variant Overview

In Artifi, variants represent the different versions of a product based on its attributes. Attributes are the defining characteristics of a product, and each attribute can have multiple values and each value or combination of values are associated with an SKU.

Single Attribute Variants

A variant can be created using a single attribute with multiple values.

Example:

  • Attribute: Color

  • Values: Red, Blue, Black

  • Result: Each color (Red, Blue, Black) becomes a separate variant, with its own SKU.

So, a T-Shirt with different colors would have:

Red

SKU 2

Blue

Multiple Attribute Variants

Variants can also be created using multiple attributes and their combinations.

Example:

  • Attributes: Color, Material

  • Values:

    • Color → Red, Blue, Black

    • Material → Polyester, Rayon

Result: Each combination of color and material becomes a unique variant, with its own SKU:
