Managing 2D/Artifi Colorization Steps

Following are the steps to set up 2D/Artifi Colorization Steps.


Managing Attributes - Get acquainted with the following links on how to add, edit and delete the attribute.

  1. Adding Attribute - The following are some crucial points to remember while adding the attribute.
    1. Attribute Code is a must to have in the attribute. 2D/Artifi colorization will not work on missing the attribute code.
    2. Attribute Code should be unique across all the products. The same attributes can cause to mismatch or overlap in the colors of angles when applied.

  1. Adding Attribute Values - The Following are some crucial points to remember while adding the attribute values.
    1. Attribute Value Code is a must to have in the attribute. 2D/Artifi colorization will not work on missing the attribute value code.
    2. Attribute Value Code should be unique across all the products. The same attributes can cause to mismatch or overlap in the colors of angles when applied.
    3. The attribute Key Value (Color Hex Code #000000) determines the color of the angle image. 
    4. Color will not reflect on the angle image if the Key Value is missing.

Managing Custom Attribute Set - Get acquainted with the following links on adding, editing, and deleting the custom attribute set.


  1. Adding Attribute Set - Following are some important points to remember while adding the attribute values.
    1. 2D Colorization will work on the basis of custom attributes or product attributes.
    2. Colorization mapped with the SKU/Variant should be created as a product attribute set.
    3. Colorization independent of the SKU/Variant should be created as a custom attribute set.

Assigning Custom Attribute to Product Basic Detail Page

  1. Open the product by navigating from Product Setup >> Basic Details.
  2. Storage Server - Select the Storage Server radio button as Artifi.

    Note - This setting is enabled on a demand basis. This setting is necessary only when 2D/Artifi colorization needs to be set up.
  3. Assign the Custom Attribute Set that needs to be used for the particular product.


Managing Views - Get acquainted with the following links on adding, editing, and deleting the views.

  1. Adding Views - The following are some crucial points to remember while adding the attribute.
    1. View Code should be added and the same code should be entered in the angle code.
    2. Each view should have a different view code. Do not use the same view code.
    3. The same view code will be used in the Angle Code while creating an angle.

Managing 2D Colorization Angle - Get acquainted with the following steps on adding angles and links editing, and deleting the angles respectively.


  1. Adding Angle - The following are the steps to add an Angle
    1. Click on the 3D Product Angle from the left navigation as shown below.
    2. Click on Add New button to add an angle. The below screen will appear.
    3. Following are the details, that must be added to the above angle screen.
      1. Angle Name - Angle Name that will be displayed on the designer. For Example - Front
      2. Angle Code - Angle Code must match with the View Code. Keeping it blank or entering a mismatched angle code, the colorization would not work.
      3. Angle Unique Key - An auto-generated unique key is displayed and it can be modified.
      4. Upload - Upload the angle image. The Angle Name and the name of the angle file should be exactly the same. This is the base image of the product. The base image is always a grey color image as it is a neutral color. Using any other color would have an adverse effect on colorization and there is a chance of color getting mixed and the mixed color would turn out to be a different color.
    4. After, filling out the details, click on the Save button in the top right corner of the page. A success message will be displayed. An angle will be added.
    5. Now, add the mask detail and map the views, attributes, and mask together.
    6. Click on Add New Grid / Mask button. The below screen will appear.
    7. Select the Mask checkbox and remove the selection from the Grid checkbox as Grids are not required for 2D/Artifi colorization.
    8. On the Mask checkbox selection, fill out the below details.
      1. Mask Name - Enter the Mask Name and the Mask File Name should match exactly.
      2. Mask Color Field - Select the Attributes from the dropdown as we need to colorize the panel of the product.
      3. Mask Color Mapping Value - Select the attributes that have been created in the attribute section.
      4. Mask File - Upload the mask file Name. 

        Similarly, add all the required mask file details for a particular angle that needs to be colorized.
      5. Once all the masks are added, click on the Save button from the top right corner of the page.

        Similarly, add all the required angles.
