Navigate to: Merchandise > Product setup > Define Variants.

Steps to Search Attribute Set Name in Define Variants Tab

The search box is introduced to search an attribute set name to create a variant. Admin users can search the existing attribute set by entering the attribute set name in the search box. Below is the snippet for the same:

Attribute set will be displayed as shown below. Select the radio button and click on continue to add the variants.
