Attribute Set is a set of attributes that are associated in attribute sets. While creating attribute sets, it is decided which type of attributes is being created.

There are three types of attributes.

1. Product Attributes: Product attributes that are directly in association with the Product Code or SKU of the product.
2. Custom Attributes: Custom Attribute is independent and it represents the variation of an object that is being added or products variations on which SKU doesn’t have any effect.
3. Color Attributes: Color is for creation of the color attributes, it is also independent. Color is also not associated with SKU.

Additional Details

• If the attribute set is not associated with any product then the Attribute set can be updated.
• If Attribute Set is associated with any of the products then it cannot be updated.
• If the attribute set is associated with any product and if you want to update it then remove product association, then only can update the attribute set.
• If the attribute set is not associated with any product then the Attribute set can be deleted.
• If Attribute Set is associated with any of the products then it cannot be deleted.
• If the attribute set is associated with any product and if you want to delete it then remove the product association, then only can delete the attribute set.
